Day 1: Ljubljana-Maribor

Arrival at Ljubljana Airport, reception and transfer to your hotel in Maribor. The rest of the day at leisure. Welcome dinner. Overnight.

Day 2: Maribor-Slovenske gorice-Maribor

Breakfast. In the morning, departure for the region of Slovenskegorice. The road will take us through the picturesque landscape of a wine region, ideal for the cultivation of Traminer, Riesling and Furmint. There we will visit a leading wine producer for our wine tasting. Then, we will continue to the second largest city in Slovenia. Maribor is known for being the European Capital of Culture in 2012 and for having the oldest vine in the world. It has over 400 years! Dinner and overnight in Maribor.

Day 3: Maribor-Ljubljana-Gorizia

Breakfast. In the morning Ora , Labora and taste! We will visit an old Benedict monastery and one of the oldest wineries in Slovenia for our wine tasting. Travel to the Slovenian capital and walking tour of the old part of Ljubljana. The capital of Slovenia is an architectural gem: mixtures of baroque style with the modernist and the architect Jože Plečnik are the special ingredient of its charm. The city has several cultural events and impressive social and nightlife. Then we head west to the border between Slovenia and Italy. Dinner and overnight in Gorizia.

Day 4: Gorizia-Piran-Hrastovlje-Kras-Gorizia

Breakfast. Departure to Piran, set on the Adriatic coast. It is known for being the birthplace of the famous Baroque composer Giuseppe Tartini and for the rich Venetian and Austro-Hungarian architecture. A walk through the alleys will take us to the church of St. George that dominates the town, and the "Benecanka" house with a beautiful legend behind its construction. We will then explore Istrian wine region, famous for its Refosco and Malvasias, growing in slops along with olive groves. Visit to leading winery and tasting. Our next stop is the village Hrastovlje, known for his small church of the Holy Trinity, whose walls are covered with medieval frescoes, among which is the famous "Dance of Death". On the way back, we will explore the Kras plateau, famous for the burja wind, which together with numerous caves create the perfect condition for drying of hams. The land here is red, iron-rich that gives the wine its distinctive flavour. Stop to taste ham and wine. Back to Gorizia. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorizia-Goriška Brda-Vipava Valley-Ljubljana

Breakfast. In the morning, trip to the wine region Goriska Brda, where vineyards are mixed with fruit orchard and numerous villages with churches rest on the tops of the thousand hills. We will visit the walled village of Šmartno and a lookout tower that will leave simultaneously view of the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Stop at one of the carefully selected wineries for tasting rebula, jakot (Tokai) among other fabulous wines. Departure to the Vipava Valley, covered with peach and vine plantations. Visit a family winery to taste local varieties zelen and pinela. Drive to Ljubljana. Farewell dinner. Overnight.

Day 6: Ljubljana

After breakfast, time at leisure until transfer to Ljubljana airport. End of our services.
