A different way to discover Croatia

Day 1: Zagreb

Arrival at Zagreb Airport, reception and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day at leisure. Overnight.

Day 2: Zagreb-Opatija Riviera

After breakfast, we will visit the Croatian capital, strolling through the old town and visiting the cathedral, the picturesque market, the Government Palace, the most famous shopping street and its main square Ban Jelačič. Continue along the Lower Town, through the many museums and galleries which are also fine examples of modernist architecture. Culinary Experience: After the visit, we invite you to taste the typical fast food in the Balkans. Burek, a typical meal heritage of the Ottoman Empire, is a flaky pastry filled with meat or cheese. As the locals do, we will accompany it with yogurt. In the afternoon, continue to the Croatian seaside resort Opatija, also called "Nice of Austria" for being from the mid-nineteenth century the worldly city, beloved by aristocrats, artists and famous people of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Overnight in the Opatija Riviera.

Day 3: Opatija Riviera-Rovinj-Pula-Opatija Rieviera

After breakfast departure to the Peninsula of Istria. First, we will visit Rovinj, a city that invites you to stroll among numerous galleries and artisan shops. The image of the Istrian town is completed with church dedicated to St. Eufemia, located at the top of Rovinj. Culinary Experience: Istria is famous for truffles and this is where the world largest truffle (1.31 kg) was found. Therefore, we will taste the rich fuži (homemade pasta) with truffle sauce. We will continue to Pula, in ancient times an important port of the Roman Empire. Visit of the Arena, one of the six remaining Roman amphitheatres in the world, and the old town which is an interesting mix of Roman, Venetian and Modernist architecture styles. Return to the Opatija Riviera. Overnight.

Day 4: Opatija Riviera-Plitvice Lakes

Breakfast and departure to the interior of Croatia to devote the day to one of the most beautiful national parks: the Plitvice Lakes. Upon arrival, we will take a tour of the paths and walkways surrounding the 16 lakes, connected together by cascades and waterfalls that depending on the season and time, change the colour. The symbol of the park, bear, is just one of the many animals that inhabit the lush forests around the lakes. Culinary Experience: Today we will have dinner at a local restaurant, where a delicious lamb with potatoes will be prepared. Delightful! Overnight.

Day 5: Plitvice Lakes-Trogir-Split

Morning departure to Dalmatia, the southern part of the Croatian coast. First visit of the small town of Trogir; its center and cultural monuments are under the protection of UNESCO. We will enter through the north gate to approach the main square, where the most important artistic work of the city is located: the Romanesque portal of master Radovan. Culinary Experience: We will visit the colourful local market where people buy fruit, vegetables, fish and many other local products. After knowing the deal of the day, we will taste the famous cheeses and take a liqueur or brandy for the trip. Then continue to Split, where in the s. III the Roman emperor Diocletian built a magnificent palace. A walk through the old town let us know the rich history of this city and its inhabitants. Overnight.

Day 6: Split-Mali Ston-Dubrovnik

In the morning, we will continue south along the beautiful Dalmatian coast to Dubrovnik, set of King Landing on Game of Thrones. Culinary Experience: On the way, stop in Mali Ston where we will taste the best oysters in the Adriatic. Fresh from the sea with a few drops of lemon are a gastronomic delight. Travel to Dubrovnik. In the afternoon we will discover the old town with the main street Stradun, where the most important palaces of Dubrovnik are located: the Franciscan Monastery with one of the oldest pharmacies in the world, Orlando’s Column, Onofrio’s Fountain and the Rector's Palace. Time at leisure. We recommend you to climb the wall and see the city from "above". Overnight.

Day 7: Dubrovnik

After breakfast, time at leisure until transfer to Dubrovnik airport. End of our services.
